Once a dog is brought back to good health, our goal is to find it a forever home.

See below a step-by-step guide of how to rehome a rescue dog:

1)

Think very carefully about whether you can offer a rescue dog the forever home that they deserve.

2)

Consider the needs of the dog and what type of dog will be comfortable in your family home. for example: do you have children? Do you have other pets? Do you have a garden?...

3)

ASK US LOTS OF QUESTIONS!

Either by email, on Instagram or on Facebook... we're happy to help! :)

See our FAQs section HERE, and read about the dogs that have already been rehomed through One Love HERE.

4)

It can sometimes be very hard to work out breeds of rescue dogs. So, rather than considering what breed you would like, instead consider what size of dog would be comfortable in your family home. Consider, is there enough room for its exercise? etc.

5)

Short list the criteria of dog that you could rehome. consider things such as the characteristics and traits, amount of exercise required, age bracket of dog. This type of preparation will help us all match the best dog with its perfect home.

6)

AGAIN, Think very carefully about whether you can offer a rescue dog the forever home that they deserve.

7)

You will then be asked to fill out an adoption application.

a home check will be arranged and we will proceed to work through organising the trip for the dog and other essential things such as neuterings, passports, etc.

9)

Once these details have been looked at and costs for rehoming, etc. have been established, then, once again...

please think again very carefully about whether you can offer a rescue dog their forever home, that they deserve.

10)

Confirm details of the rehoming!
